There are
ongoing needs for travel nurses throughout Northern California
in all specialties.
How Do you
choose which assignments I go on?
We will inform
you when positions are needed specific to your specialty. Our
goal is to match the nurses interest and specialty with hospital
needs. We will never submit your profile to a hospital without
first talking to you about the assignment.
How long
does it take to get a job with Bryan Healthcare?
Once we receive
your completed application, we will work to get you an assignment
according to your date of availability. Once your profile has
been submitted to a hospital, assignment generally starts within
1-2 weeks.
What requirements/paperwork
are needed?
We must have
a completed application on file prior to any start of assignment.
What specialties
are you looking for?
We have needs
for travelers in all specialties including med/surg, telemetry,
CCU, ICU, E.R., PACU, O.R., Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Psych,
Peds, NICU, PICU.
What level
of certification or training do I need?
Minimum of
one year experience in an acute care setting. ACLs for all critical
care areas PALs/NALs fro PICU/NICU BLS for all nurses.
What expenses
does Bryan Healthcare cover?
We will pay
your round trip air-fare, your housing, including all utilities,
phone and cable. We also give you $500 per month for a car allowance.
What is the
housing like?
Housing varies
by area. We do provide private or shared housing per nurses request.
We use some corporate housing (e.g., Studio Plus, Extended Stay
America) and also provide private furnished apartments or large
furnished homes if sharing housing.
Do you supply
a rental car?
We will gladly
reserve your rental car for you, using our corporate discount,
the nurse will use his/her own credit card for rental of the car
and we will reimburse the nurse $125.00 per week (tax free) for
the length of the assignment.
What do I
need to bring with me?
All you need
to bring are your personal items.
How long
are your assignments?
We have a
few facilities that will accept 4 week assignments, most want
13 week commitments.

areas does Bryan Healthcare cover?
We cover most
of Northern California from the big cities to the small towns.

What happens
if I don't like the job I am sent to?
The contract
must be completed unless an extremely serious situation/problem
arises.
While I am
on assignment, how will you support me?
We will always
support our nurses in a professional, timely manner. If appropriate,
we will contact the unit manager as a liaison.
Do you provide
health insurance?
Yes, we offer
Kaiser coverage for the employee only, after 30 days of employment
at a cost to the nurse of $30.00 per week, Bryan Healthcare pays
the remainder.
Do you pay
weekly?
Yes, we pay
weekly with direct deposit.
Do you provide
double over time?
We are compliant
with all California wage and hours laws. Anything over 12 hours
a day is paid at double time.
What are
your usual hourly wages?
Hourly salaries
are between $34-$43 dollars an hour. The hourly amount is determined
per contract and based on cost of housing (e.g shared or private),
shared car- or private.
